Sodding a new lawn is the best and fastest way to get an "instant lawn". If you don't have the patience to wait for Fall to come and have your lawn seeded, then do all of the watering you will have to, and then wait for the grass to germinate, grow tall enough to mow it, then wait for it to fill in, then sodding is for you.
While sodding is approximately 3 times as expensive as seeding one, it has the advantage of being instant. Depending on the time of the year, sodding may be your only choice for certain varieties of grass too. Bermuda cannot be seeded in the cool months of the year, so if you want Bermuda and it's during the colder seasons, you will have to sod now, or wait until Summer to seed it.
Even then, you cannot seed Hybrid Bermuda (Tifway) only common Bermuda and some improved varieties can be seeded. And, if you want Fescue grass and it's the middle of June, you cannot seed it then, it won't survive, you have to wait until Fall. But, you can still sod Fescue in the Summer months, you will have to water a lot, but it can be done.
We can sod your lawn with small squares, large squares or by using the newest method of sodding, the large roll. Large roll sod is 42" wide and about 100 feet on a roll. It is installed by using a special large roll sod installer, or by using an attachment on a skid steer loader.
